Dutch grenadier set “A”
SPS1-07
Several different types of grenadier caps have been identified as Dutch. This is the first type we want to present, I’m using Robert Hall’s work on the Dutch as my main source of information but you can easily find more information about Dutch grenadier caps on the internet as well. A fur cap for the “Gardes te voet” is also scheduled and another one with triangular teeth decorating the edges(Dutch grenadier set “B”).
Release dates yet to be scheduled.
Dutch grenadier set “B”
SPS1-08
As stated in our previous post, this is a second set of Dutch grenadiers, inspired by the research of Robert Hall on the regiment “Van Els”. Dutch grenadier caps probably also inspired the Prussian use of grenadier caps, the traingular teeth decorated cap edge was also used in Prussian regiments.
Release dates yet to be scheduled.
Grenadiers in bearskin caps
SPS1-09
A new set of grenadiers in bearskin caps will become available soon, two different drummers and an officer will be provided as an additional option. Various armies used grenadiers with bearskin caps during the “War of the Spanish Succession”, a few examples listed are the Dutch “Gardes te voet”(also know as the Blue Guards), Austrian and some other minor German states, and of course Bavaria, but for Bavaria in particular we’re planning to make a set with grenadiers also armed with pistols.
Sergeants pack “E”
SPS4-16
A new set of sergeants carrying the same halbert as the grenadier sergeants in pack SPS1-07 and SPS1-08(Dutch grenadiers “A” & “B”) but wearing a tricorn.
Regiment of horse “B”
SPS2-02
Our second set of cavalry for the “war of the Spanish succession”, a regiment of horse “B”. This set has crossed shoulder belts, one wearing the carabine, the other an ammunition pouch, they don’t have an separate powder flask, these are the main differences in comparison with set “A”
